Neuropathy pain shows itself as numbness, tingling or burning sensations in a sock-like area. It may be in one or both feet as well as hands and fingers.
Diabetes is one of the main causes of nerve pain – Glucose is like a poison to your nerves. Eating a low-carb diet will help keep glucose low.

It is best to first try interventional pain treatments because medication causes side effects. Then, if this doesn’t prove effective, we would move onto using medications such as Anti-Seizure or Anti-Depressants.
One of the primary treatments for neuropathy is an Epidural injection.
The Epidural is actually the space surrounding a nerve. When a medicine is injected into this space, then you can experience pain relief. The typical combination of medicine in an epidural is Lidocaine (a numbing agent) and Cortizone (an anti-inflammatory).
There are three primary Epidural Injections – The Classic Epidural, the Transforaminal Injection and the Caudal Injection – All of which you can read about in this article.
An epidural injection provides relief for about 3-6 months. Some patients experience more or less time than this for pain relief.
